The users can download a movie of 2GB within just 23 seconds
The largest mobile network company in South Korea SK Telecom Co. has launched high speed internet network in the country. The 4.5G network service was launched in 53 cities across the country where the service delivered a speed of 700 mbps.
The network uses 4*4 multiple-input and out-put technologies, which helps the users to download a movie of 2GB within just 23 seconds.
The network is expecting to reach 50 percent of its population by the end of 2017.
In a statement, Choi Seung-won, SVP and head of infrastructure strategy at SK Telecom said it plan to launch 1Gb/s LTE-A pro service in the first half of 2018. “The LTE-A Pro service represent an early application of 5G technologies that support Gb/s-level data speeds and massive network capacity”.
