Facebook released a new app- "BONFIRE" for group video chat

Facebook app BONFIRE for group video chat

Facebook's newly launched "Bonfire" app allows you to hold video chat with several participants at a time. You can instantly start video chatting with your friends, when you open the app. Bonfire is a best place to get together with your friends, no matter wherever you are. The app is now available on Google Play Store but can be downloaded in selected regions only. Facebook is kind of quietly testing the app in Denmark as it has a good user retention, which makes it an ideal market for testing new products.

Bonfire app lets up to maximum eight users to video chat in a group. The app also have several features and styles of Snapchat, you can also take screenshots of your video chat and can share it on Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and Snapchat without leaving the chat. You can use the stickers and effects the app has to express yourself and there are a lot more things that you can do on this app.

The idea is not at all unique, most of the features of this app are copied from popular group video chat app Houseparty, which is very famous among the teenagers. This effort by Facbook can be an ultimate threat to the Houseparty app, and has the potential to rob off its market completely.

Bonfire is currently available to download in Denmark only, according to app analytics the app has been downloaded about 2,000 times.
